The Dance of Shiva and Shakti
Becoming an Advocate of Heaven on Earth
An Evening Immersion at the Starhouse
Saturday, May 17, 6-9:30 PM
Join Jeanie Manchester, Mike Cohen, Dawnia Dresser, and Ken Matarazzo for a deeply transformational evening.
What does it truly mean to live from your highest, most awakened state—not just in meditation, but in the everyday rhythms of life?
How do we remain rooted in the sacred while doing the laundry, making dinner, picking up our children, washing dishes, and navigating the intricacies of human relationships?
In this evening immersion, we’ll explore the cosmic dance of Shiva and Shakti—not as abstract deities, but as living, breathing aspects of you.
Shiva is the unchanging, transcendent stillness—the witness consciousness that underlies all of life.
Shakti is nature itself—your body, your emotions, your creativity, your relationships, and even the seemingly mundane objects around you. Everything is made of light.
We come to Earth for this sacred journey of awakening, to remember and reawaken the transcendence we have often cut off, forgotten, or denied. And the cost of this forgetting is immense. When reverence is lost, as we see in our world today, we fall out of harmony with each other, the planet, and ourselves.
Ancient Indian mythology tells us that when Shiva and Shakti lose connection, all hell breaks loose. But when they dance together—within us and between us—Heaven comes to Earth.
Come join us in the Shakti-fied space of the Starhouse for a magical evening of:
Chanting to awaken the power of sound and devotion
Myth-telling to rekindle ancient wisdom and relevance
Partner Yoga (grab your beloved, bestie, or come solo!) – all levels welcome
Silence and community
Connection and sacred space to remember who we are
Let’s come together in community to embody the Divine in our very human lives—and become advocates of a world infused with love, presence, and awakened action.
