Meet Your Teacher: Jeanie Manchester

Jeanie Manchester is a master yoga teacher and spiritual guide. She has trained and practiced extensively in yoga asana, philosophy, and meditation for the past 30 years. She is an E-RYT 500 Hour YA instructor offering yoga immersions, training as well as travel-based retreats to wondrous places all over the globe. She is a Priestess of Neelakantha Meditation Practice — the most subtle and powerful practice that she offers for those seeking depth and transformation.

After she rolls up her yoga mat, Jeanie is a mother of two and understands the demands of a daily householder life with serious commitment to a spiritual journey. She is also the creator of The Shakti Rise Immersion, as well as “Goddess Guidance”, an online membership group dedicated to guiding women into experiencing their full potential in themselves. By raising the vibration within, Jeanie believes healing and creativity will soar and planetary upliftment will increase.

Radha Schwaller

Radha Schwaller is a devoted wife, mother, herbalist, aromatherapist, Certified Ayurvedic Educator and Practitioner, Ayurvedic Body Therapist and Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula. She has incorporated holistic health into her and her families’ lives for almost two decades.

Radha weaves together her rich mixture of elements from sound healing, art therapy, aromatherapy, Ayurveda, herbalism, magic, laughter and energy work to create a healing journey that will bring balance to your mind, ease to your body and the light of BLISS to your spirit.

Alicia I Mendez

After spending over 20 years in the healthcare credentialing matrix, Alicia started on her journey of healing.  She began studying Shamanic Reiki and delving into her yoga practice.  Wanting to continue to broaden her understanding of yogic life she entered her first 200 hour yoga teaching training at Yoga Peace Kula in Howell, NJ. 

Alicia teaches privately, in groups, and offers guided meditations and yoga asana in retreat settings.  Her passion is working with women and families who are open to and enjoy incorporating Reiki and yoga as an individual and family healing modality.

Working with younger people is a passion Alicia is wild about.  Alicia is a mother of five children and understands that access to healing modalities can be limited.  She hopes to change that and champion the healing arts for young people.  

Offering wellness which is accessible, diverse, and equitable is of paramount importance to Alicia.  One experience at a time, Alicia is committed to building community where all marginalized citizens are seen, welcomed and valued for their lived experience.

Aligning with Natural Rhythms for Strength

with Radha Schwaller

In this Ayurvedic workshop, Radha will delve into the strength, vitality, and wisdom that is available to you when you synchronize your daily rituals with nature's rhythms. You’re made up of nature's elements and when you align your daily human habits with the planet's rhythms, you’ll feel harmonious, healthy, and balanced.


Session One

Discover your own unique elemental makeup and how it aligns with the language of nature. Learn what practices are balancing during the seasonal changes and specific times of life, and learn how to bring balance and wellness when there is disturbance to the mind, body and spirit.


Session Two

Discover the harmony present when you align with nature's daily rhythms, called dinacharya in Sanskrit, and how alleviating accumulations at certain times of the day, each day, leads to long term vitality and strength. Learn the ideal time to rise based on your nature and why being asleep by 10:00 pm helps you detox. Discover the best daily routines for you to experience wellness in all times of the day, seasons, and stages of life.


Session Three

Learn how your daily rhythms, the food you eat, your sleep patterns, and your mental patterns affect your overall immunity and vitality. Learn how to build immunity and strength instead of depleting your precious life force energy, through the use of Ayurvedic warm oil therapies, food as medicine, herbs, spices, and more.

Social Justice, Equality, and Privilege in Yoga

With Alicia I Mendez

Our series of connections are intended to gradually introduce topics of social justice, equity and privilege with a heart centered approach which supports “leaning in” to learning, and addressing uncomfortable truths about mainstream yoga and wellness.


Session One

We begin with a thorough understanding of the different identities that make up our students, through thought provoking videos, literature and interactive activities.


Session Two

We segue into understanding the difference between equity and equality, and the privilege that inherently has kept marginalized communities out of mainstream wellness.  


Session Three

We will end with a deeper dive into the characteristics of white supremacy culture that impact major aspects of society, and then fine tune the lens of this amazing body of work to yoga and wellness through an interactive group activity.


These three areas begin to create an understanding/baseline for students to begin exploring their own ideology, and teaching experience.  This foundation can allow us to shift into action within our own spaces and communities and offer yoga and wellness that is inclusive, equitable and diverse.

 

 

Rise with Resiliency to Meet the Challenges of Today

Resiliency is all about our ability to rise and meet the challenges that we are faced with in the world. While the core of this training is focused on cultivating inner strength, you will also learn how to nourish and strengthen your body with Ayurveda and how to link the study and practice of yoga to working with social justice issues.

What if I can’t make the live calls?

No problem! All classes will be recorded and you can make them up any time before the next class.

 If I am a yoga teacher and already have training - how will this training serve me?

This course will offer a deep dive into inner-resiliency through developing a strong devotional meditation practice, as well as learning how to sequence your own personal yoga asana practice with inner and outer alignment to keep you inspired and safe.

How will we learn to support our immunity in this course?

We will learn how meditation serves our nervous system as well as Ayurvedic practices and postures for immunity.

Do I have to be a yoga student already?

No, anyone can take this course and learn these tools for resiliency. Moving the body is key for us so, this will include learning yoga asana as a modality for boosting your immunity and learning resiliency of the mind.
